Six Freedoms

Financial freedom means different things to different people. One major reason for this difference is our stage in life. Maslow’s hierarchy of (human) needs can be condensed into five groupings:

1) Physiological (survival) – air, food, water, clothing, shelter, sleep etc
 2) Safety – security, employment, property, health, family etc
 3) Love/Belonging – friendship, family, sexual intimacy
 4) Esteem – self esteem, confidence, achievement, respect etc
 5) Self-Actualization – creativity, morality, spontaneity, problem solving etc

Maslow’s theory suggests that the most basic level of needs must be met before the individual will strongly desire (or focus motivation upon) the secondary or higher level needs. This theory is widely accepted, with some additions like self transcendence by Viktor Frankl.

Your perception of financial freedom depends on what level you are in the hierarchy of needs. If feeding is an issue, financial freedom for you will be having enough money to meet your basic needs. If you have a good job and your basic needs have been met, financial freedom for you will be freedom to go do what you really love to do. While financial freedom has to do with money, it also encompasses other aspects, and sets the stage for that level of needs to be met.

I came across the six freedoms while reading the One Minute Millionaire by Mark Victor Hansen and Bob Allen. I believe this throws more light on the different dimensions of freedom, and how each relates to the other. You will find that finance sets the stage for the other freedoms.

They are:

1) Money Freedom
 2) Time Freedom
 3) Relationship Freedom
 4) Spiritual Freedom
 5) Physical Freedom
 6) Ultimate Freedom

MONEY FREEDOM
This has to do with having enough money so that you only work because you want to work, not because you have to work. You are now working for love, not money. You can choose not to work. You can afford what you want, when you want it, how you want it. You don’t have to issue post dated checks. You have enough money in your account to cover it.

TIME FREEDOM
Money freedom leads to time freedom. Your time is yours. You determine what to do with your time. You can choose to vacation 3months in a year if you so desire, or cancel all your appointments tomorrow and ask your secretary to reschedule. You can decide to sail round the world, if that is your dream. You no longer say “One of these days I will…”. You have the time to do it. Your income does not dwindle because you take time off.

RELATIONSHIP FREEDOM
Money and time freedom leads to relationship freedom. You have the time to spend as much as you want with your spouse, kids and dear ones to deepen your relationships. You no longer miss fathers or mother’s day, school plays, private time with your spouse and kids etc. You no longer leave home before your children are awake and return home after they have gone to bed. You can have a family breakfast on a working day and drop them off at school.

SPIRITUAL FREEDOM
This is also a form of relationship freedom, but with God. You have time to pray without one eye on the watch, meditate, go for personal retreats, attend programs during working days, travel abroad for conferences, programs, retreats and cruises etc. You have the time to watch videos and audio tapes of your favorite preachers, programs etc. anytime you desire.

PHYSICAL FREEDOM
With money and time freedom, you have time to focus on your health and fitness. You have the time to exercise, go to a gym, join a health club, eat right. You can afford the finest nutrition, fitness coach, nutritional supplements, healthcare etc. If you leave home before sun up and return home at sun down, you hardly have time to give your health and fitness the care it deserves. You may buy supplements but forget to take them due to your frenzied lifestyle. With physical freedom, you are free to take care of your health.

ULTIMATE FREEDOM
With ultimate freedom, you discover yourself and live life at the fullest. You pursue your real genius and attain your utmost potential. You are living your dream. You are on top of your game. You have made your way to the top. You are the best you can be, being your best and giving your best. You have the freedom to become you in your full God given potential. You are who you were born to be, doing what you were born to do.

Financial freedom is a springboard to other freedoms. If you are a monk, you don’t need to attain financial freedom. All your needs are met at the monastery by the religious order. This sets you free to pursue the other freedoms. If you have to earn a salary and put in time dictated by the clock, you have to work your way up, starting with financial freedom. After all said and done, financial freedom is not about money. It is about embarking on your journey to the ultimate freedom. Bon voyage and God speed.

The Top 25 Network Marketing Companies

Top 25 Network Marketing Companies? Well, it really depends on how you define "The Top 25..." As you might imagine, the truth can be a bit subjective. For example...

The best-selling car in the World is the Toyota Corolla. Apparently it's a great car, and yet at the same time is probably not the car of your dreams. Which begs the question, "Does an MLM company deserve a higher ranking simply because more people are involved?" It's a fair question. Here's what we know for sure: Popularity is definitely one of the best ways to determine what's going on in the marketplace. It plays a part in the movies we see, the music we download, and sometimes even where we invest our money.

So is "The Top 25..." just an online popularity contest? Not exactly. To make a fair assessment we gave consideration to things that really don't matter; for instance, 24 of the 25 companies are members of the DSA. And to things that really do matter; like Time In Business!

In short, we wanted you to know the exact criteria we used in order to select, and then to rank, "The Top 25..." You may agree with our findings, or you may not; we welcome your thoughts and opinions either way. Here's the Nexera Five-Factor Formula we used to make our selections:

1) The company must be a self-described Network Marketing, Multi Level, or MLM company.
2) The company must be in business for at least 10 years as of January 1, 2010.*
3) The company must have a Google Page Rank - GPR. A scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being best.
4) The company must have an Alexa Rank - AR. Here the smaller the number the better.
5) The company must show up in Google Trends - GT. All Regions. Last 12 months.**

The five factors above are taken into account at the end of each quarter, and then a ranking decision is made. As of June 30, 2010, The Top 25 Network Marketing Companies are:

4 - 259,655 - 0.04

25. New Vision

1995 - 15 Years

3 - 380,925 - 0.51

*Why 10 years? Because that amount of time really seems to matter. For example, according to research, since 1957 thousands of different MLM, Multi Level, or Network Marketing companies have opened their doors; and to date only 50 MLM companies have found a way to celebrate their 10th anniversary and still remain in business today. Now, to be completely fair, we should also point out that each and every company on our list was at one time a start-up company too.

**For purposes of comparing Internet search term interest using Google Trends (GT), all 25 companies were compared to the term, MLM. A score of 1.00 would indicate the same level of Internet search interest; anything above 1.00 more interest, anything below 1.00 less interest.

+According to an online post by Chapter11Library.com: Natural Products Group, LLC, the holding company for Levlad, LLC and Arbonne International, Inc. filed for Chapter 11 on January 27, 2010. Arbonne's Chapter 11 Reorganization Plan was confirmed by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Delaware on February 22, 2010, and became effective on, March 5, 2010. As of that date, Arbonne International, Inc., along with its parent company, Natural Products Group, Inc., and related U.S. entities have all officially emerged from the Chapter 11 reorganization process.

A few noteworthy points on this list... The only companies considered for this list are U.S.A. based; and if you click on each and every company linked above, what you will not find should be as interesting to you (and as revealing) as what you will find. There are no travel companies, only one technology company (ACN), just three services companies (Pre-Paid Legal, AmeriPlan, and Team National), and 21 health and wellness companies. Even Amway, whose core product line still includes soap, really got started by way of the wellness revolution! Read this book by Paul Zane Pilzer and you'll understand why skincare, nutrition, and weight management products continue to drive the trends in this industry to this day.

Top 1o Ways to choose a Great Network Marketing Opportunity

There are a few network marketing opportunities that are just scams. There are far more that may be well-intentioned, but have a poor track record, for any number of reasons. So how do you separate the wheat from the chaff? Here are ten tips to help you pick the right network marketing opportunity for you.

1. Has the company been around for at least 5 years?

If you want the efforts you put in today to pay off for many years in the future, choose a company that has proven that it will be around for the long term. 90% of all network marketing companies FAIL within their first 2 years. You don't want to invest your precious time and resources (not to mention your future) in something that may not be in business next month, do you?

2. Is the company well capitalized?

In other words, does it have the cash that it will need to grow, to maintain a solid infrastructure, to attract talented management, to keep pace with technology — and, of course, to pay your commissions! (I prefer publicly traded companies because they're required to disclose their financial condition in DETAIL every 90 days to the SEC and other governmental agencies. You may not be able to obtain this information on a private company, so you'll be taking a risk on its financial condition.)

3. Does the company offer products or services that are unique?

That is, they're not readily available elsewhere (especially at a discount) and they're not just another "me too" product that has loads of competition.

4. Is there a genuine need for the product or service?

You've probably heard horror stories about people ending up with a garage full of expensive water filters - the reason that happens is because only other distributors will purchase the product at that price! Your product or service must fill a REAL need at a fair price - and there should be a large untapped market for it. In other words, it MUST provide tremendous value, so the customer is the biggest winner.

5. Is the product or service trendy or a fad?

You can't build long term residual income (i.e., your retirement!) if the product or service only has short term appeal (e.g., beany babies, etc.). Think long term instead. Is the product or service something that your customers will continue to use for a long time?

6. Can you generate immediate income?

So that you can finance your marketing and expansion efforts from cash flow.

7. Does the marketing system take full advantage of technology?

Not everyone is a sales type, but ANYBODY can plug into a system and tools that do the selling and sorting for you!

8. Is the person who is introducing you to the opportunity committed to YOUR success?

If they are, the company is strong, and the product or service is a winner, (and, of course, you're willing to learn) you WILL succeed. There's a big difference between a "sponsor" and a "recruiter." A sponsor coaches. motivates and trains and a recruiter just signs people up and in most cases, abandons them.

9. Is there a way to build your business part-time without losing your full time income?

The company must have automated systems that can do the heavy lifting (i.e., selling and sorting) for you so that you can use your limited time efficiently.

10. Will you have FUN?

Although this may not be an element of your current JOB, we think it's important! You should have a lot of fun with your business partners while you work together to build a long term business and your financial army.

So there you have it — ten criteria for selecting a superior network marketing opportunity. Of course, even with a great company, there's no such thing as a free lunch. You WILL have to work! But, with the right opportunity (unlike your job), it won't have to be forever!

If you Believe...........

If only you can believe in your God given potentials and abilities you can achieve anything on earth.
It is also important to believe that your future is not ahead of you but your future is trapped within you.
In order to chieve great things at first you need to be a seasonal dreamer and a positive thinker, who can easily count a number of apples in a seed rather than a number of seeds in an apple.
Set your heart to what you believe and don't allow nothing to stop you, Dr Murelys Munroe once said that, in order to be great and feel confident at first you need to change the perception of who you are and how you see yourself.
You can be whatever you wanna be,..
I got mad but genuine love for my people.
Love Y'all.

Sir Edmund Hillary

The Ass and The Mule

A farmer set forth on a journey, driving before him an ass and a mule, both well laden.
The ass, as long as he traveled along the plain, carried his load with ease, but when he began to ascend the steep path of the mountain, he felt his load to be more than he could bear. He entreated his companion to relieve him of a small portion, that he might carry home the rest.
But the mule paid no attention to the request. He did not want to help in any way.
The ass shortly after wards fell down dead under his burden. Not knowing what else to do in so wild a region, the farmer placed upon the mule the load carried by the ass in addition to his own, and at the top of all placed the hide of the ass, after he had skinned him.
The mule, groaning beneath his heavy burden, said to himself,

"I am treated according to my deserts. If I had only been willing to assist the ass a little in his need, I should not now be bearing, together with his burden, his hide and my own load as well."

Reflection
* Kindness and compassion are very lacking today where more and more become more and more self-centred, taking care of our interests only.
* All living things are interconnected in the whole web of life. When adverse happenings occur in our environment or to other beings, oftentimes we too will be indirectly and adversely affected.
* May our hearts open to help others in need.

LIFE IS THE TRAIN THAT PASS

Life is a train that passes
Dreams are wagons
Love is the driver
Are we, the station!

Purchase your ticket, make your choice
The train is followed continuously
In each car, the desire of his mind
... There is also sadness, disappointments
With the passage at hand, choose!

The trip is long do not know
Luggage is experienced each day
Change course, we can
Without even knowing the parade

The station can never be empty
Will always be a live tour
Sit at the window, enjoy
Everything is passing, something can hold

Every day is countdown
Ride as if each moment was unique
Each look like the last

Breathe deep, the road is long
Find adversity
Sadness ...
... Miss
Depths ...
Straight ...
. Curves
many are the times
do not see what lies beyond the bend
But the route will follow dreaming

Life is a journey
We are mutants
We are passengers
We are clouds
We smoke

Why not learn to decipher the map of life
Sometimes we lose the path
But for those who dream, nothing is impossible
never lost, always found

Listen, listen, is the whistle of another game
Will be leaving for new posts
without scripts
aimlessly
no west or east
The board is to happiness
Lead and be led
The driver always attentive
history, life

Of all that live, one thing is certain:
Do not get tired of travel, proceed
Fight, scream, beg
But do not give up
... Tiring, nod, smile
The driver will not leave you
Do not hesitate, do not fear
Where to stop, a heart
certainly the lull

The journey continues
... And knowing where you want to go
Go safe, you can
Knowing where will brave ...
Your journey will forever ...
in first-class carriage.

World's Most Famous Photoz

Stricken child crawling towards a food camp [1994]

The photo is the "Pulitzer Prize" winning photo taken in 1994 during the Sudan Famine.
The picture depicts stricken child crawling towards an United Nations food camp, located a kilometer away.
The vulture is waiting for the child to die so that it can eat him. This picture shocked the whole world. No one knows what happened to the child, including the photographer Kevin Carter who
Left the place as soon as the photograph was taken.
Three months later he committed suicide due to depression.

Omayra Sánchez [1985]

Omayra Sánchez was one of the 25,000 victims of the Nevado del Ruiz (Colombia) volcano which erupted on November 14, 1985. The 13-year old had been trapped in water and concrete for 3 days. The picture was taken shortly before she died and it caused controversy due to the photographer' s work and the Colombian government's inaction in the midst of the tragedy, when it was published worldwide after the young girl's death.

Afghan Girl [1984]

And of course the afghan girl, picture shot by National Geographic photographer Steve McCurry. Sharbat Gula was one of the students in an informal school within the refugee camp; McCurry, rarely given the opportunity to photograph Afghan women, seized the opportunity and captured her image. She was approximately 12 years old at the time. She made it on the cover of National Geographic next year, and her identity was discovered in 1992.

The plight of Kosovo refugees [1999]

The photo is part of The Washington Post's Pulitzer Prize-winning entry (2000) showing how a Kosovar refugee Agim Shala, 2, is passed through a barbed wire fence into the hands of grandparents at a camp run by United Arab Emirates in Kukes, Albania. The members of the Shala family were reunited here after fleeing the conflict in Kosovo.

Bliss [~2000]

Bliss is the name of a photograph of a landscape in Napa County, California, east of Sonoma Valley. It contains rolling green hills and a blue sky with stratocumulus and cirrus clouds. The image is used as the default computer wallpaper for the "Luna" theme in Windows XP. The photograph was taken by the professional photographer Charles O'Rear, a resident of St. Helena in Napa County, for digital-design company HighTurn. O'Rear has also taken photographs of Napa Valley for the May 1979 National Geographic Magazine article Napa, Valley of the Vine. O'Rear's photograph inspired Windows XP's US$ 200 million advertising campaign Yes you can.

Why Do People Cheat?

Here are some of the Reasons

1. Bored
I'd say this is the most common reason that people cheat. It's tough to keep that edge throughout a relationship. Things start off grand and then level off and then you both realize that it's still real life. When you meet someone else, that inaugural excitement of a new relationship kicks back in.

2. Dependence
At first glance, cheating seems like independent behavior. It could be interpreted as doing what you want, when you want. But I would argue that cheating is a dependent behavior. A cheater is dependent because they are not strong enough to break up with their significant other in order to get with the new person.

3. Confusion
Sometimes life or a particular situation can get to you. When the perfect storm of confusion is going on in your head, you make mistakes.

4. Because They Let You
If any girl ever cheated on me, I'd break up with her immediately. Forgiving a cheater is putting up with it, and starts a vicious cycle. That person who cheated may lose respect for you and might continue to cheat-because they know they can get away with it, because you'll continue to take them back.

5. Nurturing
If someone is mistreating you, then your first instinct is to get away from him or her. But sometimes it's not that simple-maybe you are raising kids together. If you feel trapped in a bad relationship, it's only natural that you will run to the open arms of a person who treats you well.

6. Revenge
This is quite simple- an eye for an eye. Cheat on them if they cheat on you. If they continuously hurt you or abuse you in some way, you do it to get them back.

7. Confirmation of Attractiveness
Sometimes when you're in a long relationship, or if your significant other is taking you for granted, you begin to wonder if you're still attractive. Perhaps, because you were out on the dating circuit, you felt more attractive when you were single. If you have an affair, you've proven that a new person can be attracted to you.

8. The Thrill
Some people just enjoy the thrill of cheating: running around secretly, risking getting caught, and creating thrilling moments with a forbidden romance.

9. They Don't Consider It Cheating, Even Though You Might
Relationships have that grey area, usually right before you become exclusive. He thinks date #4 is when you're "together," and you think date #2 is when you're "together." If you haven't talked about exclusivity, someone may think they are well within their rights to see other people, even though the other person in the relationship may not.

I don't understand why people don't break up as soon as they have an urge to cheat. Is it natural to have temptation, or is temptation a sign that the relationship is losing its fire? What reasons would you add to this list, and do you disagree with any? If you've ever cheated, why did you do it? Could you forgive a cheater? If you are single, but seeing a person who is in a committed relationship, does that make you a cheater?
